Project Summary
This project is a collaboration between CreativiTek and Kidsafe ACT to have parents and carers engage in immersive children’s road safety education with their kids. As the lead applicant, CreativiTek received a grant from the ACT Government to work with Kidsafe ACT to create fun and gamified learning experiences using augmented reality technology and engage parents, carers and kids in children’s road safety education. The project includes seven social media augmented reality experiences (world AR, AR portals, face effects, puzzles, and mini-games) and one augmented reality colouring page, and covers the following subjects:
- Traffic lights
- The safe place to cross the road
- The safest place to sit in the car
- Use “stop, look, listen and think” when near or crossing roads
- Treat the driveway like a road, not a play area
- Always hold hands when crossing the road
This project is funded by an ACT Government Road Safety Fund Grant.
