Our History
Kidsafe ACT is now 45 years old! Throughout this time childhood deaths through unintentional injuries have reduced by almost 65% across Australia.
It is a frightening thought that so many of our children are still being injured when nearly every accident is preventable. Over the last decade, we have made great progress in the ACT, but there is still a need for ongoing research and injury prevention programs. At stake is the wellbeing of our most valuable asset - our children.

- Home and pedestrian safety and advice;
- Research, produce and distribute safety materials; and
- Advocating to government and industry.
