Studies show that over 75% of child restraints in Australia may be incorrectly installed.

What happens at Kidsafe ACT's free restraint checking events?
We will bring our mobile service van to you, set up a display of safety information and be available to answer questions and check child restraints for free. Our service provides non-judgemental advice and support to parents and carers.

If we find that a child restraint is incorrectly installed or needs adjusting we will fix it for free on the spot. It takes only a few minutes to check a child restraint and can give parents and carers the peace of mind that their child is safely restrained.

Restraint checking sessions are a free service, but as a charity we also welcome your donations. Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
