HIRE Costs

Kidsafe ACT offers baby capsule hire to provide parents, grandparents and caregivers with capsules for newborns and infants. We use Safe-n-Sound Baby Safety Capsules – a high quality single purpose child restraint for infants weighing up to 9kg and 70cm in length. Below is a photo of one of our hire capsules.

We offer four lengths of capsule hire:

Contact Kidsafe as early as possible to have your name included on our Capsule Booking List. The Capsule Booking List is deposit and obligation free. We will contact you a few weeks before the child’s due date to arrange an appointment.

At your appointment one of our staff will fit the capsule to your car, explain fitting and usage of the capsule and provide you with an instruction manual. Should you need any accessories to fit the capsule to your car (e.g. anchor bolt, extension strap) these can be provided either for purchase or a small hire fee.

Car Seat, Booster & Harness Hire

Kidsafe ACT hires out car seats, booster seats and harnesses for up to 2 months. These hires are particularly suited to families visiting with young children.

We have a range of restraints available for hire including:
