We all like to think that we take good care of our children, yet despite our best intentions injury is the biggest health problem our children face. It might not be in the news as often but its more common and deadlier then any disease or even child abuse. Each day an average of 5000 children need medical attention, 160 are admitted to hospital and a child may die all as a result of injury. Remember that is an average day, every day of the year.

Kidsafe ACT is part of the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Australia, a charity that has been helping to save children’s lives for over 29 years, through education, support, and providing child restraints and safety products. We rely on support through funding from government grants, private sector sponsors, and your donations as well as our community support services to continue this valuable work.

Kidsafe ACT’s shop front in Pearce offers a large range of home and car safety products and a variety of child restraints to buy or hire. Our friendly staff are trained and certified as Child Restraint Fitters and are experienced in providing information on all aspects of child accident prevention and safety.
